I upgraded on the 11th of February 2013 to a Smart Standard contract and a Sony Xperia GO.
I did not use the phone for a whole week as my contract was only migrating at the end of the month and I was still using Blackberry BIS.
On the 18th I decided to use the phone and after using it for 30 minutes the phone just died. I immediately took it to the Vodacom shop. They told me that the 7 day replacement warranty has already expired. How is this possible if I got the phone on the 11th and returned it on the 18th???
They booked the phone in for repair and I received a apology sms on the 1st of March that the phone will be replaced by another unit on the 4th of March. I only received received conformation on the 8th that I could pick it up.
I fetched it on the 9th. When arriving home I realised that the phone had plack marks over it and that the SIM tray was missing! This was no REPLACEMENT unit!
I again took it to the Vodacom shop today and they said they cant help me. They will maybe try to find me a SIM tray on Monday.
I can't believe this service that Im receiving from Vodacom. It has been one month since upgrading and still not made a call with that phone!
