We have a business line with Telkom and increased our debit order limit from R1000 to R3000. One would expect that this means they will only deduct your actual bill. Alas! Our bill for January was R889 and they deduct R1000! When I call them they explain that this is the debit order "limit" so if my bill is R300 they will take my limit of R3000!!! what???!!! The consultant says at least I will have a credit with Telkom - as if I want a credit with a multi-billion rand company... I will cancel my debit order all together and telkom will wait like many other suppliers... they have no right to debit off people's accounts what THEY think they should debit!
