Absolutely shocking

I am being overcharged by Nashua Mobile by nearly R1000.

I have a contract with Nashua Mobile through Vodacom for 2GB per month for R149.
I never use the 2GB and usually only end up using about 1GB per month.

Last month I used 2.5GB.

Nashua charged me an extra R1000 for using 500MB extra at R2 per MB.
This despite the fact that I put a R20 cap on my account to avoid this from happening!

After numerous unsuccessful attempts to get through to someone at their call center, someone finally informed me that they will not cut off services during the middle of a download and that the cap on my account didn't apply because I was busy downloading.

This is completely outrageous - what is the point of having a cap then?

Also the charge of R2/MB is completely sickening. I have had over 1GB left over in my account for a number of months now, and suddenly I use 500MB and get charged R1000 - completely shocking and disgusting.

Just a warning to those out there - having a contract with Nashua Mobile/ Vodacom it isn't worth the paper it's written on. We need to stop them from doing this to consumers - this should be illegal!!
