FAULTY BLACKBERRY Z10 HANDSET SUPPLIED

I unfortunately "upgraded" (now THERE is a laugh!) to a Blackberry Z10 in April 2013. Nothing but major battery issues since. Battery goes from full to flat in 4 - 5 hours, while the phone is not being used at all... From full to fully flat in only 2 - 2.5 hours with only moderate use. Even while not being used at all, the phone spontaneously gets so hot that it becomes impossible to comfortably be carried in that shirt pocket.. Battery ALSO allows use of only the most basic functions (voice SMS, email), as it simply cannot power any "smart phone" apps whatsoever.

The device initially supplied has now been replaced. With a brand new device which - from first boot after receipt 5 days ago (on Tuesday 26/11/2013) - has exhibited EXACTLY the same battery fail characteristics..

I today met a sales assistant at Dischem, who has EXACTLY the same problems.. The Z10 is clearly a device plagued by latent design and manufacturing issues. It is simply NOT "fit for purpose" as a business phone. As these potential faults were not disclosed at time of upgrade, I now require that the phone be replaced with a suitable (non-BB please!) device. In less than 3 weeks time please..
