Despite purchasing extra bandwidth via topup - Telkom has softcapped my account for more than a week now. I call 10210 and get given a 9 digit reference number - nothing is done so I call back and quote my reference number - and Telkom claim that they either cant see the detail of the case or the number does not exist - despite me getting a confirmation email from telkom with the reference number - this process has now happened 3 times.
I then decided to log a fault online - I then get a confirmation email with a new 6 digit reference number - nothing happens - I call 10210 - and guess what - they say that those numbers are not visible to them - they only deal in the 9 digit numbers!! - this process happens 4 times. Each time the moment I log an online fault the confirmation email get in return simply states "You have been softcapped - we consider the issue closed?
I have by now accumulated 7 useless / untraceable reference numbers
I then decide to do into the Telkom Direct store - at guess what - they claim they cannot see any of these reference numbers and offer to dial 10210 for me!!! back to square one
This process would be funny if I had not actually PAID for bandwidth
