Where does my daughter's airtime go?

My daughter complained to me that everytime she recharges her cell the amount disappears. I checked her data and she data, so where is her airtime going?
Today while she was at school I recharged her cell number with R10.00. When she got she checked her balance without making any calls and guess what? Her balance was R3.50, where is the R6.50?

The irony is she has a balance of 9.89mb. How can the aritime disappear like this.

Please can someone explain before I tell her to rather port to another network that doesn't airtime.
