WAKE UP SOUTH AFRICA CELL C IS ALL TALK NO SERVICE

Clearly Cell C have spent a lot of money on a massive marketing campaign and none on training its staff or providing the services they boast so much about in the media.
18 May 13 I activated a 24 month contract at the Cell C shop in Galleria.
During the next week I found that the network coverage in my area was an issue. Data was slow to download and voice call quality was shocking. I tried with many calls to the customer care to find a solutions for the problems. A technician advised that coverage in my area was bad and Cell C had plans to erect a tower there. With no date for the completion of this work, I decided to terminate the contract.
More frustrating calls to the customer care followed. I was passed from one department to the next. Finally I was told to return the handset to the Cell C Shop at Galleria and did so on 25 May. I filled in all the paperwork and was advised I would receive a full refund for incurred costs.
On 01 July I receive an invoice for June subscription fees and all the charges incurred in May. I checked my bank account and saw a debit order for R478.07 had been deducted.02 Jul I emailed Cell C with all my documentation and until now not a word back.
