I am the account holder of an FNB student bank account that has experienced the incorrect debit order processed by Altech Autopage. I have been missing over R600 from my bank account for a few weeks, as a result of a mistake made by a company with whom I have nothing to do with. I have been paying for a cellphone contract that a man, who is a stranger to me, has signed up for with Altech Autopage. This incorrect debit has financially crippled me as a student and inferred unnecessary bank charges. Altech Autopage has made the process of getting my money back exceptionally difficult and after calling their customer care line held for long periods of time being redirected by every operator and disconnected regularly causing me to miss lectures at college. I have battled with petrol for college, stationery expenses for college and other necessary things for educational purposes, not to mention the emotional stress and anxiety of financial insecurity. The mistake was made on the 17th of April and to this day I am still fighting to get my money back.
