Damaged product, No Cash refund

I purchased a product from New World Menlyn Pretoria. The product I purchased was defective as the content was damaged as I opened the packaging. I took it back to New World & they gave me a refund in a form of a voucher that I can only use in New World. I have purchased something from the store with some part of the voucher, which I do not really need, as they do not want to refund my money for a damaged product. There is still an amount left on the voucher & I don't want to purchase anything else from the store. I have consulted the Owner regarding the remaining amount and he told me that they do not refund in cash, only in a New World voucher, but he will get back to me. I have been waiting 2 weeks now for a call regarding the amount, but still no response from New World Menlyn
