Purchased a loaf of bread at Shoprite Southdale yesterday the 9th April (their own made bread). Upon arriving home i took a few slices out to make toast and every second slice was covered in cockroaches!!! I went this morning to complain to the manager and her words were that the pest control went there on Tuesday but did not do their job??? How on earth can u blame pest control?? your baking staff cook the bread you and with the amount of roaches in that loaf you would have to be stark blind to not see that you're rolling dough all over them! What about a Qc for the bakery dep?? This is also not the first time i hear of this happening!! This is totally unacceptable and with the lack of concern shown from my complaint i will not only be placing them in the local newspapers every week but am forwarding this matter to the national department of health as well as bulk emailing all my friends, family and clients who all reside in the south area, with exactly what happened and with a picture of the bread as well. There's a time when you just with the wrong person and sadly for Shoprite, i am that person. I don't need "service calls" or apologies, Good luck Shoprite
