I visited the Ackermans branch located on C/O Kerk & Joubert Street to exchange a pair of pants that I had purchased for my daughter. I could not find the pants that I had purchased and found another pair that that I liked, unfortunately it was the last one and there was no price tag attached. When I went to exchange the pants I was told to go BACK to the security at the front door to get a sticker before they could assist me!? When I went back to the customer service counter I was told that they will not sell me the pants that I had selected as the person that knew the price for the pants was on lunch. The consultants did not even attempt to find out the price for the pants. I selected another set of pants of a similar price and once they had completed the exchange I was told that they had to keep MY ORIGINAL slip and give me a slip for the item that was exchanged! How am I supposed return or exchange anything else that was purchased on the Original slip without it? The consultant that was assisting me was very dismissive when I asked for my Original slip.
Even though the store is located in a low income area, it doesn't mean that customers should be treated terribly
