On Sunday 7 April 2013, I visited the Hi-Fi Corporation store in Cape Gate Center in Cape Town.
I do not live close to the city and traveled especially for the purchase of an offer I saw in their catalog.
The offer was for a Nikon d3100 kit witch included a lens. The lens was depicted on a picture with the camera and was clearly marked in the catalog as being a '18-55MM STABILISED LENS' (I also noticed that the lens in the picture was in fact the "VR" variant, witch indicates it is in fact stabilized.).
As I was from out of town I phoned and requested that a camera be kept as I would only be able to be there before closing on the day.
On arriving at the store I first wanted to inspect my prospective purchase and discovered that in fact it was not the "VR" stabilized lens. The assistant kindly, but firmly said that this was a printing mistake and I needed to take it up with Head Office.
I was comparing prices for quite a while when I saw this offer, being convinced by the Catalog/Advert I decided to travel plus minus 100km to make this purchase and were very disappointed. It cost me money and I still don't have a camera.
