On Wednesday 27th I went to price a toy kitchen. There was no price on the shelf so I scanned it and it came to R339. On Friday 1st I went to purchase the kitchen. When approaching the tellers I realised that only 1 teller was open even though there were several Game employees sitting around. I told the cashier that they should open more tellers as there are customers waiting. She told me, expressionless, that Nedbank was giving problems. I told her that regardless of their current problem, I have always experienced bad service at Game. She just looked at me. I then had to go draw cash as my Nedbank card wasn't going through. On the way back to Game from the ATM I realised that the amount was incorrect as I was being charged R460 for the kitchen. I questioned the price and explained it was less on Wednesday. She told me it must have changed. I asked her to find out. She called over someone who I presume to be the manager who also just told me "it must have changed" without any further investigation.
I said I didn't want it anymore and walked away. My husband then purchased the same kitchen at Game Cresta for R339.
I no longer support Northgate Game. Useless!!!
