Misuse of power and poor customer service

Good day, I went to the Welkom branch of House & Home to purchase Marilyn Monroe Ottomans which were on promotion. I queried as to stock levels as I wanted four and was told that there were three in stock of which I could get two as the display item could not be sold. I paid for all four ottomans and asked if it would be possible to speak to a manager about maybe getting the unit on display and then waiting for the remaining unit. The manager (Kristien) said that I could not have any units as she was keeping them for one of her customers. This is unacceptable behaviour - Your system indicated that there were two available and there was nothing about any units being booked. She didn't even have the courtesy to look me in the eye but just left the poor salesman with the irate customer and walked off. I cancelled the order stating that I would take my business elsewhere and that did not phase the manager in the least. No effort was made at all to try find a solution. I have now gone to the branch in Roodepoort as I really wanted the ottomans and purchased the four units and what a difference in customer service - Excellent! The only problem is that now the units were no longer on promotion.
