My Husband and I went t Buy a few things for the weekend, as we are going away with friends.
along with a few other goods, we bought 18 pack of eggs. upon arriving home, we smelled an awful stench in the kitchen, and something told me to smell the eggs... lo and behold, the eggs was the problem.
I tore open the plastic wrapping, and i almost died of the smell. immediately i put all the eggs in the basin, and scrubbed them all with a yellow sponge, and packed them in a glass bowl to dry. but still, the smell persists. i took another whiff, and discovered the one "rotten egg"... took it out, saw that the whole shell was cracked... i shook it once, and realized that there was a dead chick inside the egg.
I had a such a fright, that i asked my husband to throw out ALL the trash, including the egg immediately.
this was a major shock... i don't like dead animals, and CERTAINLY not those among the foods that i eat...
the rotten egg has been discarded of, so i don't know how far this will be able to go, but i just thought i would like to inform the guilty parties involved. Perhaps they should leave the chicken breeding to the professionals, hey?
