I purchased 2 packs of spice braai lamb ribs from the pick n pay in Woodmead retail park. On opening them at home around the braai with friends we all noticed a dreadful smell coming out of the vacuum packed lamb. On closer inspection we could smell and see that the lamb ribs were rotten. It couldn't be noticed in the store as the ribs were vacuum packed with spices as well as marinade etc. Maybe this is the way that the meat is disguised when it starts to go off.
To make it even worse is that the expiry date was for the 05/02/2014 and they were purchased on the 25/01/2014. So im presuming that the expiry dates just keep on getting changed until the product is purchased.
Im seriously un happy about this incident and its totally unacceptable.
