On February 17 we visited Checkers Durbanville to get supplies for a Birthday braai due on following day the 18th Feb. We bought a Pork Texan Steak and placed it in the freezer until the next day after defrosting and placing it on the grill a foul smell coming from the meat and the sealed bag it was in. The expiry date clearly states the 20th of february. This leads me to believe that the goods that were sold to me were were packed under an false expiry date. This angers me as its to late to replace it as we are currently making our meal. This is unacceptable as many a time before we have purchased goods from this store that were over expiry date and rotten by the time we got home, esp from the veg department. I would like to know what is going to be done about this problem. Very unsatisfied.
