Game went the extra mile!

We purchased an LG LED TV from Game 15 months ago.
At the time we were told it had a 2-year guarantee (on LED TVs)
It packed up.

We took it to LG in Edenvale to be given a surprise that it was an LCD not LED, even though the slip clearly states "LG LED".

We got zero assistance from LG (COMPLAINT!). Three times we attempted to contact senior management, and were promised a return call. Three times nothing happened. We eventually received a quote for repairs that were almost 80% of the original cost price. The staff at LG were totally unhelpful.

On an offchance, we decided to go to GAME. What a difference! We dealt with Mike Morton at Massmart Game at Greenstone. Mike was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to go through the differences between LED and LCD TVs. He was more than happy to replace the TV. On the day concerned Game had a special on LED TVs. We walked out with a brand new TV AND a refund for the difference in price!

So, it's THUMBS UP to GAME and a GIANT RASBERRY to LG.

Oh, the new TV is NOT an LG, it's a SAMSUNG. We won't buy LG again (It's the second time we've had an issue with an LG product, so there will be no third chance for them).
