Whenever I walk into a Fruit and Veg (Food Lovers Market) I turn around and walk out. The one in Uitenhage and the Newton Park one in Port Elizabeth - maybe all of them are the same. My mother in law from Jhb also complained about the one there - so I suppose it is ALL of them. The veggies are not fresh, the floors are dirty, then there is the tables and shelves with the bread rolls and savoury bread and rolls. How can they leave it open. People touch it and everybody's hands are full of germs, people sneeze close or over the open food, flies and all bugs are sitting on the bread and rolls that you must purchase. I am staying in Uitenhage nearly 9 years and in that 9 years I have never seen fresh veggies at the Uitenhage branch. Newton Park branch have some fresh veggies on WEDNESDAYS only. We pay for a service and all we get is bad service. They even refuse to cut and dice your veggies if you bring too much. They have a huge board on display stating "only 1 cabbage, 1 pumpkin and 1 pack of veg. In Jhb I used to put all my veggies on the counter and they slice and dice as you wish. Why is service so bad :-(
