Disgusting Smell after washing my clothing

I have bought a thing of Omo washing powder and first time I used it there was a strange smell to my clothing lately the smell would not go away it smelt like wet old cloths and then when I changed brands of washing powders the smell was gone this really was disgusting and think it needs to be checked up on but I was horrified the smell that came out of the clothing as it smelt like I did not do my washing. Really this was just gross.
