I complained to Unilever that a 2kg pack of Omo Washing Powder had a terrible fishy smell which made all my washing smell like fish. Even Comfort softener which has a strong perfume, could not disguise the smell. Unilever wrote back to say that they regularly change the perfume in their products and that they were sorry that the new perfume did not appeal to me! I wrote back to explain that a fishy smell was not a perfume. They then wrote to say that someone from a courier company would collect the product from me for analysis. That was in mid July. To date there has been no further contact from them. Other women I have spoken to have also complained about the smell of the Omo powder. Can you image anything worse that your clothing and linen smelling fishy!! There has been no offer of a refund/vouchers for the R48 wasted.
