I am utterly disgusted at the service I received from Pick n Pay on William Nicol. On the 7th January I bought precooked Chips and a Russian for my child. My son ate half the russian and I later noticed that the russian was off. The taste was bitter and it had a greenish colour inside. I drove back to Pick n Pay from Midrand with my own Petrol. I confronted the branch management (Denzel and Ishraan) who initially dismissed my claim that the food was off but on close inspection they later admitted that the russian was off and promised to remove the batch off their shelves blaming the suppliers for the rotten food. I was then told by Denzel that I have to wait for my child to get sick before I can take him to the doctor. I told him that I would not take that risk and would rather take my child to the doctor anyway and expect Pick n Pay to pay all the bills. All I received was a refund of R17.20 for the food i bought. I later received a call from someone at Pick n Pay (who did not give their name) from the number 0313278100 who asked for my details and the phone cut off and they never called back.
