On the 02/01/2014 I made my way to the cashier at the Checkers in Eikestad mall to pay for my goods. I was greeted with such hostility. I asked the cashier to scan my items as I placed them in front of her (fact that i had to ask her though is still beyond me) she proceeded with a rude "Its not my job to remove items out of the basket", I responded with a stern "mam please try it and lets see if it'll hurt in any way".. She responded with a very proud "it is not my job to do so, if you have any concerns with this, please discuss this with my manager".. Because unlike this woman, I was taught manners, I proceeded with her requested and consulted the manager.
As if i'd be reached with a slight element of care, the manager couldn't be bothered, he was too busy fixing fans. Hence I waited for 30mins just to get his attention, as if he did not notice I have been standing in front of him for 30mins. His solution to my problem was a comment "I will speak to the cashier, you can go home sir", coupled with his back to my face. I requested an apology. But this was fake and cold. No care in the world.
But there is a silver lining. PnP is just down the road, the extra drive is worth it.
