It is not enough for PETLEY'S that PETLEY'S CAT (and dog food, I believe) tinned foods are making several 100% profit per tin. Instead of the usual 100% considered a fair and ethical business practise. There's a legal allowance for a max of 0.25g (if what I'm told is accurate) less in the tin for packaging anomalies. I just opened a tin which had almost ONE FIFTH LESS OF ADVERTISED PRODUCT! I've been monitoring them for a time now. And with a v quick search found several folk who report exactly the same! I'm now going to advertise widely on all social media, my lists and pet-associated groups to inform of this ploy and offer up alternatives. THIS is no single tin 'mistake' (you know the usual defensive, lying, co rep response: 'Well, you're the FIRST customer to report THAT Ma'am!) Petley's would STILL be making a fat profit if each tin retailed for R5-7, I'm told. Methinks it's TIME for Petley's to be made an example of in the pet food industry - helped along by the relevant govt department, me and an organisation interested in consumer rights. Please, cat owners, avoid PETLEY'S like the plague for cat - chicken livers and rice is FAR cheaper and even more nutritious!
