I have a Breville toaster combination kettle. It is out of warranty. I spoke to Sipho at Boksburg branch. First he informed me that I will have to wait a long time for them to bring the parts into the country, after I said that I have a backup kettle and do not mind waiting, he told me that a bill was sent out to the stores that @home does not repair out of warranty kettles. I do not understand why it cannot be repaired as i checked and it is still a stock item in store. Surely there must be parts available to repair my out of warranty kettle (or faulty new ones). The only thing that is faulty is that the lid latch does not work and the lid no longer closes. If this is the attitude of @home - when I replace the kettle and because it is a combination toaster a toaster as well, we will be going elsewhere.
