I bought a bag of lemons which turned out to be rotten when I go home. I could not return it immediately and as it was attracting flies etc I threw it away. When I did get back to Spar, after picking a bag of gem squashes with mold on them I approached the manager and asked for a refund for the lemons which she immediately refused. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years who currently spend around R6000 a month or R70000 per year and they refuse to give me a R27 refund for a bag of rotten food that they have sold me. Also that a store allows rotten food to be sold is tacky and disrespectful because mostly I don't even bother .. it is not worth the time and aggravation to return the food. So my loyalty is no longer yours. When my car is repaired I shall move stores and take my R70000 per annul spending budget elsewhere. I hope the 27 bucks was worth it. Disgusted / ex loyal Spar customer.
