I acquired a flat tyre over the weekend (vandalism, though I didn't know it at the time), and took my car to Tiger Wheel and Tyre in Paarl to have a look at it.
No sooner had I parked when one of the staff, Louis, was outside my door and ready to take my keys to have the car lifted to check it out.
I was warmly welcomed, offered fresh coffee and told they would have feedback for me soonest.
Not a few minutes later, they confirmed the issue - a small stone had been purposefully wedged inside my valve cap, and carefully back on - so that my tyre was forced to deflate and stay that way.
Luckily there was no damage.
They pumped it back up, as well as my spare, rotated my tyres for me as well, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, there was no charge!
Now I don't work in the retail industry but automatically assume that time equals money. It certainly does in the graphic design industry in which I work!
So, although I didn't purchase anything, I certainly made use of their services. I feel that the speedy assistance, friendly advise and most importantly, the fact that they wanted to help me, certainly ensured that I will purchase from their branch in the future.
