This morning I went to pay a bill at Pick n Pay Pinetown and decided to pick a few things I needed and one of them was Clover Manhattan Ice Tea lite Lemon Flavour which I needed as part of y diet. When I got home something told me to check the Best before date only to find that it's 17/07.2013. Three and a half months later it's still lying on their shelves ready for us silly consumers to purchase??? Mind you this is not the first time seeing this as last month my colleague purchased Lemon Juice Pick n Pay Brand from the same branch and it was also past it's best before date.
This is not acceptable. What if I drank this product? As a consumer I expect my rights to be respected and that includes being sold products that are within best before dates. Now i'm the one that has to drive all the way back to have this exchanged? At who's cost? I was meant to drink this tea as part of my diet that specifies I must have Lemon flavoured Ice tea for today which I haven't now thanks to Pick n Pay who decided to spoil my diet.
