Wrong information given failure to give discount

I recently made a purchase at Edgars and they then blocked my account as it was in access of R3000 and they could not reach me. Sharon advised that they called me on a number that changed on their system 7 years ago, when I queried why I got smses from Edgars on my new number she then said that there was no other number as each division within Edgars operated differently. I then purchased 2 pairs of jeans, after an advert said buy 2 for R119 or one for R179, I was charged R179 per pair and was then told the system did not register the sale so theres nothing that could be done.
Whats the point in advertising if you cant keep up to your promises? And is there any point in updating your details if you get called on the incorrect numbers?
Pathetic service after being a client for over a decade, if this continues, I will be forced to take my business elsewhere and close my Edgars account!
