I went to the Pep in Church Street this morning for a pair of sandals for my son. The sandals amounte dto R36.99. I paid with R100 and was told by the cashier that she does not have change. I then asked what am I supposed to do as I did not bring my whole bag and just brought the R100 note with me. She told me she only has R50, R100 and R200 notes. I told her its okay to give me coins and she said she has no coins either. When I refused to leave she gave me change for the R100. So now my question is: Why thatthere is no change? Do pep not need sales or is a R36.99 sale too small for them to consider it being a sale?
