This is on behalf of my partner who has recently moved into a new flat. He was given curtains from Woolworths Collections to the value of R750.00 a curtain, as a gift. He'd already decided to use blinds and not curtains. He obviously doesn't have a slip/receipt as this was a gift but when he tried to exchange it for something else this week at both Cavendish and Waterfront they insisted on a slip and specified that it's a brand (not sure what that means).
Now all Woolworths Customer Services have a huge billboard (in black and white) stating that if a customer does not have a slip/receipt an item will be GLADLY exchanged at the current value. No amount is mentioned on there but in Cavendish Busi said they only take items without a slip that are under R200.00, if more it needs a receipt. Now these curtains are still in their packet, the amount is clearly there, never been used but we are being sent from pillar to post. I need someone to urgently attend to this matter.
