PICK 'N PAY PRODUCTS&CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SHAMBLES

I purchased fresh produce from Pick n Pay Musgrave was disgusted to find that my SEALED and reportedly "FRESH" lettuce was infested with live snails and covered in their fecal matter. On 30.07.2013 I contacted their customer care line. The first operator had no time to attend to me and pretended he could not hear my call and rudely cut me off. I reported this to his manager who managed to extract the conversation and apologized and he refered my query to his subordinate by the name of "Yaseen" I received a reference number and was requested to email a copy of my receipt and send the images I had taken. I was advised I would receive a voucher via my mail as I had reported it would be an inconvenience to return the goods. THREE WEEKS LATER I have heard no feedback nor seen any voucher. Upon making a follow up call with Yaseen, he wasted no time in making excuses nor acknowledged that he had dropped the ball. Advice to Pick n Pay: 1) The quality of your fresh produce is disgusting! 2) do not hire inefficient people in your customer care department and 3) please take a lead from Food Lovers Market's quality control module because clearly your food safety regulations are in shambles!
