Damaged goods and no feed back

I bought a winter jersey in sumer of last year as it was cheap at the time, I only used once or twice and packed it away with all my winter clothes. To my amazement when I took it out last week it had holes all over, as this is very strange due to that all the other clothes in the wardrobe are still in the same good condition.
When I took it back to Woolworths in Rosebank Thandi Ceke who claim to be a manager whose people skill leave a lot to be desired for, had the odecity to suggest I poured acid on the jersey and that she cannot refund me.
Firstly I am not as stupid as I might have looked to her, and that I bought from her shop does not prove stupidity on my behalf unless its really what she implied.
I need my jersey to be replaced with immediate effect and it should be within this winter, which the initial idea was to wear it when its cold.
