I went to the Belhar Spar yesterday 02/07/2013 at 17:30.My intention was to buy a few things to prepare dinner and mushrooms was on the list too. To my amazement I could not find a pack that had not expired. The expiry dates ranged from 26/06/2013 to 01/07/2013.I then found a pack that expired on 1 July that did not look that bad and when I got to the cashier eventually I told her about the expiry date issue and asked if I would have to pay for this or if I could possibly get it at a reduced price because it has expired. She said: "I dont know, I think you must pay the full price."I then asked her to find out by the manager and she sent the packer to find out for me. Very reluctanlty she went to find out and came back saying that I would have to still pay the full price. I said that other shops like Pick n pay would gladly reduce the price or even give it for free and be very apologetic. She said I have to payShe then asked one of the general workers/packers to put the expired mushrooms back on the display. Wow! Besides the fact that I was not offered a reduced price for the mushrooms, I cannot believe that she had the audacity to tell her colleague to put the mushrooms back on the display
