"20. (1) This section is in addition to and not in substitution for--
(a) the right to return unsafe or defective goods, contemplated in section 56; or
(b) any other right in law between a supplier and consumer to return goods and
receive a refund."
Chapter 2 Part B of the Consumer Protection Act No 68 of 2008
I demand that House and Home come and remove the lounge suit that my wife and I bought end of June last year but only received in August last year.
It is of sub standard quality and workmanship. It broke in October last year and was repaired. Then it broke again in February this year but the record of our call was "lost"! Last month we logged a new call because the second recliner also started braking. For the last month we have battle to get them to replace or refund our money which we are fully entitled to according to the above mentioned act! But they keep using the lame excuse of the suppliers need this and that!
I'm am not House & Home suppliers client! I did not pay their supplier! I paid House & Home!
According to the above mentioned act as a lay man interprets it I have no obligation to YOUR suppliers. You got my money and I want it back!
