My interest was ignited a couple weeks earlier when the new Mr Price Home catalogue was released. On enquiry at the George store where I wanted to make these insignificant purchases I was promptly educated that Mr Price required full payment prior to them acting on this order of new business. This was again confirmed by their call centre that this is the companies' national policy. What further emanated from my initial enthusiastic buying decision is that Mr Price will further extort me as a customer by holding onto my money for two week prior to the delivery of my intended furniture item purchases. I assert that these terms of business under which Mr Price conducts their business to be highly extortionist and Machiavellian in nature and underlying to all this seemingly business as usual market positioning this once reputable business is now applying the funds of its customers to run and fund their business model. I have become extraordinarily disillusioned with this once proud South African business success story, what happened to customer centricity?
