I went to Rumours Lounge to watch some bands, (Desmond and the Tutu's, The Plastic's, and Shortstraw)
It was so hot in the venue after an hour and a half my friends were dripping of sweat from the heat. I went to go stand in the que to the bathroom and fainted from the heat. I cut my chin, got stitches and will most likley have a scar. I emailed Rumours who emailed back saying they are aware there is a problem with the aircon, i emailed back and they still havn't replied! How can a small venue host a big event with semi well known bands without the proper air circulation. In that hour and a half my friends and I spent money on entrance, food, drinks only to leave before my favourite band played and then pay another R1500 on stitches. Am I in the wrong to expect them to pay for my bills because of negligence on their behalf. I would have been happy with just a free meal to at least know they care for there customer. I dont think a venue like that is even allowed to have that amount of people that was there. So angry... what a waste of time and money and the owners are just plain incompetent. This place is stinky and sweaty and not worth your time. Peter, help!
