I had never even heard of So Music before, until I was contacted by Standard Bank telling me I owe R700 in charges.
These charges apparently come from an unpaid service agreement that I supposedly have with So Music. I did not have money in the account when So Music tried to deduct, which caused my account to slip into a negative balance, which has accumulated interest every month now.
So Music entered me into an to an opt out agreement which is prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act. I am an unemployed student who now has to pay over R700 for services I had never asked for. So Music has from me.
