Multichoice
No backup service

My HD PVR failed to reboot, and I phoned MULTICHOICE. They advised me to take my PVR to my nearest, and the only agent in Phalaborwa, TELE RADIO. I handed in my PVR on the 16th of January 2013, and the assistants in the store, suspended my service, assuring me that I wouldn't pay for the time I don't have my PVR. I wasn't informed that my replacement unit had arrived earlier. I found the unit, when I followed up myself on the 25th of January 2013. TELE RADIO reactivated the account, but the secondary decoder now didn't work. After an unsuccessful attempt, TELE RADIO told me to get assistance from MULTICHOICE.
Over the next two hours, with MULTICHOICE on the phone, I changed all the setting, and wire configurations on instruction of four different call operators, but it still didn't work. They then said I must take both decoders to the local agent to be tested. TELE RADIO then told me that they can't test the Extra view function, and that they can test it at my house, at a fee of R249.00. Is this acceptable, as I believe the new decoder is at fault. Is this MULTICHOICE's backup service? The full debit order amount also went of today! Who is now going to sort out this issue?
