I have been watching Bloomberg TV for 20 years since i first entered the Financial Services industry. It is the Gold Standard the World over for Financial News reporting. Having worked in the US, London and SA i have had it in my ear together with countless millions of Financial Services participants the world over.
1 July 2013: Wakeup at 5h00. Turn Bloomberg TV on - channel 411 for my daily dose of what is happening in the markets. Error message.
Wait til 08h00 and spend 40 minutes on the helpline clearing and resetting various settings. To no avail and the help center individual clueless as to why the channel is not working.
15h00: receive a correspondence from Bloomberg (as a financial services participant i subscribe to their anywhere service) informing me that as of 01/07 Bloomberg service will be compromised/diluted and that the content would now include local content from 12-16h00 and after 18h00.
18h00: I phoned Bloomberg and gave a written report of bewilderment that this was taking place and that they were diluting the service of Bloomberg TV. (see face book)
18h20: BB London report that it was Multichoice that wanted to do away with a news channel and not BB!
