My husband and I are huge All Blacks rugby fans. We are very disappointed that there are very few highlights of the past rugby matches between the All Blacks and France. It is also very pathetic that the few that were showed was in the middle of the night when people are supposed to be asleep.
Is this not a free and democratic South Africa???
Why then are we forced to watch the poor performance of the Springboks day after day, night after night. My son is a Springbok supporter, but even he said that it's embarrassing to have to watch the same highlights over and over again.
We cannot help but think that this is poor sportsmanship on South Africa's part. Even when it comes to commentating on matches... South African commentators are not as excited for the opposing team as international commentators are when commentating on South African matches. They are super-excited for both teams and not just their own.
This seems like a pathetic attempt from whoever schedules the highlights, to get people to support the Springboks. If almost the whole Cape Town and support Manchester United or Liverpool in soccer, why can't we support who we want in rugby - The All Blacks?
