The day before Easter I went to the flat from work, getting there 2 garages walls were broken down. I phoned Mrs M Stafford (landlord) to ask what is going on as arrangements was not made with regards to renovations nor alternative locked parking. She told me she is on leave I need to phone John Songoana from City Property. He said the contractors were not supposed to start working and he will get back to me. I went to live with a friend until 10/04 and on returning home the whole row of garages walls was broken down. Again I phoned John to ask what is going on, whereby he told me they are doing renovations and there will be inconveniences for the tenants and he can't do anything about it. How come we were not notified about this? How come they did not arrange for alternative parking for us? Now my card is not completely locked and anyone will have access to my vehicle. My insurance is not going to pay if my card is not properly locked away. I need to pay R150.00 per month for a locked garage but his is what i get. John confirmed they will finish this next week and he will come back to me. Is this how you treat your paying clients? Will City Property pay for any damages to my car?
