I noticed my electricity meter on my property stopped working, this was end of September 2013, went to city council on the 27th September and reported the incident and I was told that within a month, the electricity department will come and change the meter.
problem is that the meter reader is estimating the usage and I am billed almost R4000 just on electricity a month which is totally incorrect... used to be R1200.
Went on holiday in January and got back 7 days later and went back to electricity department, was told to go to the electricity offices corner DF Malan and Church street, rushed off there, went to a lady, so called Z4, she says to me that an inspector will come in 24 hours to change the meter... guess what, 12 days later, still waiting... what has happened to customer service... this cannot be so difficult and I am residing 5 minutes away from the electrical department... can we get some competent people to join government, then I am sure the service will improve...
