Wednesday night I had an accident, burnt from boiling cooking oil. I then rushed to Stanza Bopape Clinic in mamelodi east as its operating 24hrs. I was helped asap, I was dressed with burning shields, then they told me to go to my nearest clinic the following day to change the dressing. I did & was sent back because apparently they change them every 2 days, so I was told to come the next day @ 12h00 midday. I was there @ 12h10 & the sister who works @ observation room was not there until13H30.After she came back from whereever she was she called me in & ask what was the problem, I explained my situation & she asked for a refferal letter, I told her I didn't have cause I wasn't given one. She told me that she can't help me maybe I should go ask the sister (Shelley) who sent me back yesterday to dress me. Now it was already two hours I spent @ the clinic without HELP.Mind you, I'm with my two (2) months old baby whom I even struggle to feed due to my wounds. I went to Shelley who was working @ emergency for the day, only to find that she just went on lunch. At the end of the day, I left without any help. I borrowed money and went to see a private DR.Im so SAD how ppl r still undermined @ clinics.
