I work in the Parow area where my I found my car dented after the end of my working day. I'm from the Kuils River area where I reported the case to the Kuils River SAPD where I was helped within the first %min of my arrival, unfortunately they couldn't help me as the incident took place in Parow. I the proceeded to the Parow SAPD station. Upon arrival there was no person on duty at the counters and no station command on duty either. I do understand that they were short of staff, but the manner in which the gentleman handled the situation was unacceptable.
All I needed was a case number for insurance purposes, which eventually took 5min to complete. The gentleman who was assisting in the front area got up and left without attending to the remainding patrons. I was waiting for 2hours to be helped, evenutally I had to call someone to attend to me, as there was no person on duty in the reception area.
I found this completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a public serivce provider, regardless of the current circumstances.
