I work for an organization dealing in substance abuse where we offer support and assistance to families in this area. One would think that an article like mine would be important; after all we do have a serious drug problem in this country.
In February this year I called Esme Erasmus from The Tygerburger to help us with an article relating to substance abuse. She made an appointment to visit us and dully arrived at our home with a lady and a camera. She made lots of notes and then left. I asked her to give us feedback and said that we would wish to review her article before going into the news paper. To date nothing has happened. I have written and have spoken to her on numerous occasions. Her comments are always that she is very busy. I proceeded to write another article which I sent it to her and I once again asked for her comments and what we could do about it. Her answer was: I have received your article but have not had time to read it. From the 23rd May to date there has still no response. I wrote to another news paper Table talk with the same article and that too has not happened.
It would seem that if you are not directly involved you would not understand. Chris Missing
