I saw aan amount of R199 debit order on my bank account that went through yesterday for the FIRST time. I got contact details from bank and contacted EXTREME LIFESTYLE. They said that I joined this discount, whatever stupid club and that a sms was sent on my cellphone confirming this. I asked them to read me the cellphone number. It was my cellphone number about 5 years ago. HAHA. See how these operate.
And banks let them get away with this. They get names and contact details, even bank accounts somewhere and banks permit people to load debit orders on your bank account without wrtitten or vocal permission.
This is the third time (last times were other companies) this kind of thing happened to me. She asked me if I want to cancel the debit membership. I told her not to try that one with me. How can I cancel something that I did not join in the first place, that is anyway.
