My mom bought a Russell Hobbs mist fan, and toward the end of 2012 it broke. As it was passed its warranty, she took in in to get repaired and was more than happy to pay for the repairs.
After waiting for a few months, she was told that the fan cannot be repaired, as they basically have to wait for another broken fan to use its parts.
She was then offered a new fan instead, at a discount - but this offer was then rescinded.
Bearing in mind this is a fan selling for over R1, 000, and it's supposed to be one of the top makes in South Africa. How is it possible that this fan cannot be repaired!
Be warned - Russell Hobbs do not seem to support these fans past their warranty periods!
