I purchased a Citroen Ds3 sport November 2012. I was told by my sales person, Rob Schultz, that he will give me a R40 000, resulting in me paying R240 000 for the car instead of R280 000. I agreed to this figure. Traded in my car, and added a deposit. When I got the financing forms to fill in, I saw it said R240 000 for the car, but there was a additional R40 000 added on for the Tax. Rob told me not to worry about that, as that is financing stuff. SO I signed the papers. I never did the maths looking at all the figures until about a month ago when my statements didn't seem to add up. I checked my purchase agreement, and saw that I am paying R280 000 for the car.
I am furious as I know people who bought the car the following month for R40 000 less then me, and Rob was dishonest. I mailed him and ask him to explain where he saved me R40 000 he was going on about back in November 2013. He didn't even responded to my email. I feel cheated and disgusted. Unfortunately it was only the salesperson's word agains mine, as I signed a form that said car R240 000, tax R40 000. Total R280 000. I think the citroen sales person saw a single woman who is not great at math, and way too trusting.
