I received only an sms stating that I have overdue e-toll frees which have been handed over for collection to VPC and that I should call 0800 SANRAL with a reference number, which I then did.
I explained to the operator (which I have a reference number for my call) that I have not received anything other than this sms stating the above. My request to her was that I needed detailed invoices before making any payments. At the end of the conversation she said that I would receive it before the close of business. Well, I did receive an email, but it was only a letter stating: "... Please note that the non-payment of toll is a criminal offence. Please contact the e-toll Violations Processing Centre (VPC) on 0800 SANRAL (726 725) to arrange payment..." WHERE IS MY INVOICE??? NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WILL PAY BLINDLY LIKE THIS!!!
